Emma Snyder was working out on the treadmill when Dr. David Hayward (Vincent Irizzary) got on the one next to her. He said,

“ Emma, what a nice surprise to see you here!” Emma smiled at him and said, “Well you as a doctor should know that exercise keeps a woman young. So I joined the Oakdale Fitness Center.”

David said, " Well it’s working you look great! ” Emma smiled back and said, ”Thank you!”

As they walked on the treadmill they talked. Emma asked, “Any news on Margo?

I thought she’d be found by now!

I feel for her family!”

David replied, “No nothing yet.

I’m hopeful she's ok since she is one tough lady!”

Emma said, “That she is!” Then Emma asked, “ Last I heard you hooked up with Carly Tenney.

Tell me you’re still not with her since she’s nothing but trouble!” David responded, “No that was just a fun one night stand!”

Secretly Emma was relieved to hear that for she harbored a secret crush on David. They talked for an hour and David updated Emma on his brothers Trey Kenyon and Leo DuPres.


After their workout they locked eyes as they wiped their machines down and noticed a connection they never noticed before. They went their separate ways in the gym but neither could concentrate thinking about the other. Emma thought, “There’s no way a hot young man like him would be interested in me. It’s crazy!”  Emma had to admit that just that hour with David began to awaken feelings she hasn’t had since the last doctor she fell for Dr. Pepper.  She shook her head at the memory for that man who has tried to  kill her and thinking that David is nothing like him. At their cars David and Emma met up again and David suggested “Would you like to go out for coffee now if you have time?

Unless you have to get back to the farm!” Emma responded,

“ I don’t have to get back so sure let’s go have coffee!”
