" Confusion " Article 6 by Soap Diva

"Confusion" 

A lot has happened in the show since Oct.

Not sure if there were new writers helping Josh Griffin or he just decided to turn things upside down but some big stories changed greatly.

Starting with Elena cheating on Devon . I honestly don’t get it and the only explanation I have for her is she self sabotaged and cheated before Devon did To me this is totally out there because Devon and Elena were so in love . Elaina was there for Devon every minute of the day when Amanda tried to take away Devon’s inheritance. They grew stronger going through all Devon’s grief of Hilary’s and then Neil’s death .

Enter Nate . Devon’s loving cousin or so we thought . To me he was Elena’s partner at the clinic and good friend as the show doesn’t give out friends too often . Every conversation Nate and Devon had was basically about Devon . Let me add Devon was seeing Amanda who recently found out she was Hilary’s twin sister .

For some reason Nate decided to set his sites on the vulnerable Elena , who was becoming increasingly unhinged as Amanda and Devon formed a bond , as friends . He dumped Amanda unceremoniously after a sudden , unplanned , sexual encounter with Elena.

Elena was devastated . Immediately regretted it and wanted so badly to tell Devon but now was unprepared for his response . Would he forgive her ? Would he shun her ? .Would he throw her out ? Well we all know he did ask her to leave and she was a crying mess. She swore she had no feelings for Nate but that made no difference to Devon.

In the meantime Nate now free of Amanda wanted Elena who she kept rejecting him until all of a sudden she tells him she’s always had feelings for him . What a twist . The viewers never saw it but it seems most of GC did and everyone started pushing them together . New phrase Nate Date.

While all this is happening Devon turns to Amanda . They speak about this and that they are friends , actually family .

They start going on casual dates and really enjoying each other’s company . In all this time Devon although sitting quietly crying on the steps when Elena left , decided he was going to move on from Elena and finally confronted Elena. The one and only time they discussed it . Devon in denial gave his blessing for Elena & Nate and left in a huff not listening to anything else Elena had to say . I am glad she didn’t break her foot kicking that table.

Devon seems fascinated by Hilary’s twin.

He has expressed several times he likes Amanda for herself and not because she’s related to Hilary . He is seemingly more and more comfortable with her and of course their chemistry as actors is off the charts, as Devon and Hilary were very impressive together .

I honestly don’t know where it will go from here . Will they get closer ? Will Elena come between them .? Will Devon be able to see Amanda as Amanda and not Hilary if he wakes up beside her ? Will he not automatically think of Hilary ? Where does Elena fit in or were the last two years for nothing ? What about Elena & Nate ? To me he’s rebound . I can’t see that Elena would choose Devon’s cousin over the love of her life and believe me they were in love , but stranger things have happened .

There are fans on both sides of this so it will be interesting to see where it goes .
